Mama Makeka House of HopeAbout MMH Hope
Mama Makeka House of Hope (MMH Hope) was created in 2003 in memory of Mama Makeka Rebecca. Throughout her life, Mama Makeka believed that there was always room for other people around her table and in her life. MMH Hope has adopted its motto like ours: “There is always room for everything.” It is largely her generosity that inspires us, but we are also inspired by the African Ubuntu culture and the Anabaptist Mennonite principles by which she lived in the context of the DR Congo Communite des Eglise des Freres Mennonite in which she lived and served.
Our Vision
Mama Makeka House of Hope plans to bring hope, hospitality, education, faith and leadership empowerment to communities and individuals who suffer from a lack of health and education and repression opportunities, violence and conflict.
Our Mission
Mama Makeka House of Hope is a non-governmental organization (NGO) engaged in the promotion, advocacy and funding of initiatives related to global health, peacebuilding, education and leadership development, focusing on rural and professional communities in the DRC.
